This policy explains what information Rent Whats Yours, operated by FERFORTINI LLC (a Florida limited liability company), collects when you use rentwhatsyours.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

Account details: name, email, phone, profile photo, and sign-in info (including from Google if you use it).
Listings and photos: item photos, descriptions, prices, and your general area (ZIP code).
Rental records: bookings, dates, pickup and return photos with timestamps, damage reports, and messages about a rental.
Payment info: handled by Stripe. We receive limited details such as card brand, last 4 digits, and payment status. We never see or store your full card or bank numbers.
Identity verification: when required, ID checks are handled by our payment and verification partners.
Device and usage data: pages visited, browser type, and similar technical information used to keep the site working and secure.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: create listings, process bookings, place and release card holds, and pay Owners.
To check uploaded photos automatically, including using AI to suggest titles and prices and to block prohibited items.
To resolve damage claims and disputes using pickup and return records.
To prevent fraud, keep users safe, and meet legal and tax obligations.
To send you messages about your account and rentals.

Who we share it with

The other neighbor in a rental: the Owner and Renter see each other's name, the item details, and handoff photos.
Service providers: payments (Stripe), hosting, and AI photo analysis, only as needed to provide the service.
Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect the safety and rights of users and the public.

How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account is open. Rental and payment records are kept as long as needed for disputes, taxes, and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymized.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your profile anytime from your account.
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account.
Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights. We will not treat you differently for using them.

Security

Photos are stored privately and shared through time-limited links. Card and bank details stay with Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and let us know about anything suspicious.

Children

The service is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know about material changes.
